Teachers and employees of non-government educational institutions forming human chain and holding agitation procession submitted memorandum to the administration in Barisal on Thursday.
They demanded indiscriminate unitary education system by inclusion in government announced pay-scale and nationalization of their service to strengthen back bone of the nation. They also demanded thirty-percent of national budget allocations to develop the education sector and implementation of time-scale, sufficient medical and house rent allowances for the non-government teachers and employees.
The program was organized in front of Barisal Ashwini Kumar Hall by Jatiya Shikkhak Karmachari Front, Barisal divisional unit. Divisional convener of the front Prof Mohsin Ul Islam Habul presided over the programme addressed among others by Mojibur Rahman, Principal Munsur Ahmed, Aminiul Islam, Mollah Amin, Jebunnessa, Jahanara Begum, Dilara Lily, and other leaders of the front.
