Barisal Division suffered batting jolt in their first innings as they scored 201 for 6 at stumps against Dhaka Division on the second day of the tier 1 four-day of 19th Walton Smart Fridge National Cricket League held on Saturday at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.
Shohag Gazi top scored with 75 runs while Nuruzzaman hit an unbeaten responsible 51 to guide Barisal to past two hundred runs landmark after the initial batting jolt.
Shamsul Islam was remained as night watch batsman with 6 as the bails were drawn for the day.
Shuvagata Hom was the most successful bowler as he grabbed three Barisal wickets conceding 53 runs. He was well supported by Mosharraf Hossain who took two wickets giving away 55 runs.
Earlier, on the second day (Saturday), Dhaka Division added only 19 runs losing the remaining three wickets with their overnight total of 231.
Salman finished with an impressive figure of 4 for 38 while Monir Hssain scalped 3 for 53.
Besides, Tanvir Islam bagged 3 for 26.
