Barisal court issued warrant against former telecom minister Latif

Metropolitan Magistrate court of Barisal on Sunday afternoon ordered to issue warrant against former Posts and Telecommunications Minister Abdul Latif Siddique.
The order was passed by Nusrat Jahan, magistrate of the court, after summoned Latif Siddique failed to appear before the court on December 28, 2014, said Nazimuddin Ahmed Panna, advocate of the complainant.
Advocate Saiful Alam Fuad as complainant on October 1 filed an allegation against Latif Siddique with metropolitan magistrate court of Barisal.
The complainant alleged that Latif Siddique hurt his religious feelings by talking against Islam, Hajj and Prophet Muhammad(SM) in New York on September 28, 2014.
The court accepting the allegation ordered the accused Latif Siddique to physically appear before the court on December 28 to give his explanation.
However advocate of the complainant on Sunday appearing before the court appealed for issuing warrant against the summoned accused as the accused failed to follow court order.
