A total of 2,157 examinees passed after reexamination of Secondary School Certificate 2016 result under Barisal Education Board.
After two-times reexamination now number of passed students increased to 67,059 from 64,902. Number of GPA-5 holders also increased to 3,240 from 3,113.
It was revealed after revised result of second-time reexamination published on Wednesday.
In second time reexamination 53 failed examinees declared as passed and grade-results of 163 examinees changed with 17 upgraded to GPA-5.
The SSC 2016 result under BEB declared on May 11 and one meritorious examinee named Sarbojit committed suicide after failed in Hindu religious study.
This created sensation and BEB authourities forming investigation and reexamining the paper results of 1,994 failed examinees including Sarbojit (GPA-4.67) declared as passed including 95 with GPA-5.
Results of 853 to higher grades upgraded with 15 others to GPA-5.
Prof. Md. Ziaul Huq, chairman BEB, acknowledging the facts, said revised results published on BEB website.
The examiners liable for their mistake in examining papers would be removed from the list of examiners, the BEB chairman assured.
