JSC results: Barisal Board did better than previous years in percentage, but less in GPA-5

Results of Junior School Certificate examination 2014 held in 124 centers under Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Barisal was better than previous years with more percentages, but less number of GPA-5.
 BISEB sources said 94,466 (97.92 percent) out of 96,468 appeared students with 10,282 GPA-5 passed JSC in 2014 from of 1,638 institutions.
Sources said 82,762 (96.6 percent) out of 85,675 appeared students with 10,763 GPA-5 passed JSC from of 1,626 institutions in 2013, 77,094 (93.8 percent) out of 82,186 appeared examinees passed JSC with 3,172 GPA-5 from 1620 institutions in 2012, out of 82, 905 examinees from 1,629 institutions appeared at 99 center 77, 213 examinees (93.13 percent) passed with 1,886 GPA-5 in 2011 and 57,102 (81.75 percent) out of 69,847 students from 1,618 institutions appeared at 65 centers passed JSC with 478 GPA-5 in 2010 under BISEB. Muhammad Shah Alamgir, controller of examinations BISEB, said the increase of appeared and percentage of pass rate, also shown development this year decreasing droput rates.
 Girls did better than boys in JSC
As per results of Junior School Certificate examination under Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Barisal published on Tuesday , it was shown that girls doing better than boys like previous years with more percentage and number of GPA-5.
Prof. Ziaul Haque, chairman of the board said 48,781 female students (98.14 percent) with 6,330 GPA-5 out of total 94,466 (97.92 percent) and 10,285 GPA-5 passed JSC in 2014 under BISEB. In previous year 42,710 female students (96.83 percent) with 6,356 GPA-5 out of total 82,762 (96.6 percent) and 10,763 GPA-5 passed JSC in 2013. It was 39,749 (93.98 percent) girls passed with 1,825 GPA-5 out of total 77,094 (93.8 percent) and 3,172 GPA-5 in 2012 JSC, 40,085 (93.49 percent) girls with 950 GPA-5 out of total 77,213 (93.13 percent) and 1,886 GPA-5 in 2011 JSC and 29,657 (81.57 percent) girls with 210 GPA-5 out of total 57,102 (81.75 percent) and 478 GPA-5 in 2010 JSC.
