The Barisal division Bar Association has a new president and general secretary for the 2017-18 year. The entire 54-member committee has been elected unopposed this year, according to press release on Sunday. Advocate Alhaj Shah Mohammad Khasruzzaman and Advocate Abul Kalam Mohammad Akhtar Hossain have been elected president and general secretary respectively of the association. Advocate Abdus Sattar Dulal of Barisal District, advocate Nazrul Islam Hawladar of Jhalokati, advocate Abdul Majid Mallik of Barguna, advocate Mohammad Alamgir of Bhola, advocate Abinash Chandra Mistri of Pirojpur, advocate Mojammel Haque Chowdhury of Patuakhali were elected vice-presidents. Md Omar Faruque was elected as a treasure and advocate Md Jakir Hossain of Jhalokathi as law affairs secretary.
