Baridhara upset Muktijoddha by 1-0

Bottom-run Uttar Baridhara secured 5th win in the 12-team JB Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football upsetting 5th slot holder Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra by 1-0 margin at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday.
Brazilian forward Leonardo Lima scored the match winner for Baridhara by a left footed volley in the 67th minute.
Defender Monir Alam curved a free kick at the top of the box that was pushed forward by Senegalese forward Camara Sarra to Lima to fire the net deceiving goalie Mamun Khan in the far post, 1-0.
Baridhara goalie Razib denied Mutkijoddha’s Nigerian forward Simon Ezeodka’s attack in the 49th minute, tackling a volley from very close range.
Simon Ezeodka’s another efforts was squandered in the 90th minutes as his forceful right footer went out rocking Baridhara’s side post.
With this result, Baridhara moved to penultimate slot from bottom, securing 17 points from 19 matches, having five wins, two draws and 12 loses.
Muktijoddha remained in their previous position collecting 26 points also from 19 matches, having seven wins, five draws and seven loses.
