Uttar Baridhara Club recorded a comfortable 3-0 goal victory over all losers Brothers Union Club in their last group B match of the Federation Cup Football held on Tuesday at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Despite the day’s victory, Uttar Baridhara Club still could not confirm their spot of quarterfinal birth because they have to wait for the result of day’s another group B match between Saif Sporting Club and Arambagh Krira Sangha.
With the day’s win, Baridhara improved their tally with six points from three matches while Brothers Union Club yet to secure any point playing the same number of outings. The day’s defeat for the all-orange Gopibagh outfit means Brothers Union Club made an exit from the tournament race.
In the day’s match, Baridhara’s foreign recruit Evginity opened an account early scoring the first goal in the 13rd minute while Sumon doubled the lead scoring the second goal for Baridhara in the 26th minute.
After the resumption, Mahmood Sayed sealed the victory scoring the third goal for Baridhara in the 60th minute of the match.
Baridhara dominated the entire proceeding and notched their deserving victory on the day while Brothers Union Club were totally off-colored and they hardly able to create any real scoring chance during the proceeding.
