A teenager allegedly committed suicide in the evening of Tuesday, the day of Eid-ul-Fitre, at her house at Muslimpara of the district Sadar.
The deceased was identified as Sharmin Aktar Keya, 13, a student of class-VIII and daughter of Shahin Khan of Gourichina village of sadar upazila.
Moshiur Rahman, Sub-inspector of Barguna Police Station, said the girl’s mother was outside when she allegedly committed suicide.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Barguna General Hospital for autopsy, he said.
