Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) has been conferred with independence award 2021 for its outstanding and glorious contribution to agricultural research and training.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday awarded the BARC as an organization and nine other distinguished personalities with the award at her official residence Ganabhaban.
BARC’s Executive Chairman Dr Sheikh Mohammad Bakhtiar received the award on behalf of the organisation.
BARC was founded in 1973 following directives of the then president and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
