Bappaditya passes away

Promising Tollywood
film-maker Bappaditya Bandopadhyay breathed his last at a Kolkata hospital following a massive
cardiac arrest on Saturday night. He was 45. After he complained of chest pain, Bappaditya was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata on November 1. Later he was diagnosed with pneumonia and was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU). He passed away around 8:30pm after putting up a great fight against multi-organ failure.
Bappaditya Bandopadhyay’s first feature film Sampradan won three major awards
in the categories of Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Female Playback Singer in the BFJA Awards and
selected in the competitive section of the 6th Dhaka International Film
Festival, 2000.
