Customs Intelligence on Friday seized import-restricted 175 cartons of cigarettes from a passenger’s possession at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA).
The USA 303 brand cigarettes were about 35000 pieces worth Tk 10.40 lakh with Customs duty.
Tipped-off, the agency made a drive and checked a passenger’s baggage unloaded from Air Arabia, landed from Sharjah of the United Arab Emirates and identified him as Md Kamal.
A case has been filed against him under Customs Law.
