Banks donation to PM’s relief fund to tackle outbreak of coronavirus

Different banks of the country have donated to the Prime Minister’s relief fund tackle outbreak of coronavirus.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Standard Bank Limited donated Tk 5 crore to the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund to help fight the outbreak of coronavirus through Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB) on Tuesday.
The bank hopes that this money will help implement the steps taken by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to combat the coronavirus. It also hopes that the common people will support the steps taken by the government and that people will stay in their homes as the government directs and Bangladesh will be able to overcome this crisis very soon.
Mercantile Bank Limited donated Tk 5 crore to the fund. It is initiated as a part of Mercantile Bank’s CSR activities to Prime Minister’s activities to prevent Corona virus. Mercantile Bank’s authority handed over the check to BAB.
The Premier Bank Limited donated Tk 5 crore to the PM’s relief fund to combat the spreading of Covid-19 on Sunday. Managing Director and CEO of the bank M Reazul Karim handed over the donation cheque to Ahmad Kaikaus, principal secretary to the PM.
Meanwhile, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Midland Bank Limited (MDB) donated BDT 20.00 lac to the “Prime Minister’s Relief Fund” on Sunday.
The Bank has contributed this money for sourcing or procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Coronavirus Testing Kit and Respiratory equipment supplying for the affected people and also to conduct relief operations for the marginal people of the country, who became jobless due to long holiday or lockdown.
