Bangladesh Bank (BB) has asked all banks to ensure security in their branches, including head offices during Eid holidays.
Banks have been asked to tighten overall security in their branches, business centers and key establishments and ensure cyber security of all head offices to avert any untoward incidents during the holiday period, said a BB circular issued on Thursday.
BB also advised the banks to take necessary measures to monitor the banks’ security, especially at nights, and sudden visit by bank officers during the Eid holidays.
Besides, concerned bank officials have been asked to ensure shiftwise monitoring of IT systems and vaults of respective bank branches and maintain a close touch nearby police stations, RAB team and other law enforcement agencies to prevent untoward incidents.
