Staff Reporter :
The recruitment test of five state-owned banks was held on November 6. Marking the test, booths were set up in 10 houses near the center on the night before the test. There, 101 job seekers were memorised the answers to get questions.
In addition, more than a hundred candidates were answered over online. As a result, the question spread over internet.
This information has come up during the interrogation of six people arrested in the incident of leaking the question.
After the remand, Janata Bank Officer (dismissed) Shamsul Haque Shyamal and Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology staff Moktaruzzaman Royal gave confessional statements in the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court under Section-164.
According to the sources, Delwar, another staff of Ahsanullah University used to provide that question to ICT Center Lab Attendant Parvez Mia and Technician Moktaruzzaman Royal. Accused Moktaruzzaman Royal said in his statement that he had received questions in the previous four recruitment examinations with the help of Delwar and Parvez. Even having the form of questions, they would make answers to the job seekers who came under the contract in the interest of security. Bankers used to communicate on WhatsApp for this. They would manage and fix the job seekers.
Investigation sources said that Delwar Hossain, the office assistant of the registrar’s office, used to steal the question papers while filling the envelopes and give these to Royal and Parvez.
Royal used to provide that question to Janata Bank officer Shamsul Haque Shyamal and Rupali Bank’s Jane Alam Milon. The question would have gone through Milon and Shyamal to Janata Bank officer Emdadul Haque Khokon and Pubali Bank officer Mostafizur Rahman Milon. Under their supervision, Raisul Swapan (arrested), Mainul, Atiq, Zakir, Helal, Titu, Azad and Shital would go to the job seekers in the form of answers.
Besides, Parvez Mia used to provide the question separately to Jahangir Zahid, Rabiul Islam and Sohail Rana, senior officer of Janata Bank.
