A bank official was found dead at his residence at Saltgola in the city on Sunday.
Police recovered the throat-slit body of Sajal Nandi, 27, a cashier of Rupali Bank Saltgola Crossing branch and son of Sadhan Nandi of
Boalkhali upazila, in the morning.
Mainul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Bandar Police Station, said Sajal along with his wife used to live at a rented house at Dhoppool of Saltgola.
Locals spotted his body at his residence in the morning as its door was open, and informed police.
Later, the law enforcers recovered the body and sent it to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
The body bore several injury marks, the OC said, adding that they were investigating the incident.
