Bank Asia organizes seminar on FDI

A seminar on “Reporting of Foreign Direct Investment & inauguration of FDI Help Desk” was held at Bank Asia Limited in the city recently.
In order to comply with the instruction of Central Bank, the bank has set up the FDI Help Desks at its main Branches in Dhaka & Chittagong to render the full supportive guidance and information to its existing and potential FDI customers.
Bank Asia always plays the leading role by its successful engagement in all aspects of the national economic development. In this light, to channel more FDI funds, the Bank has established priority help desks at every branch and especially four full time dedicated desks at four designated branches.
Previously in 2014, Bank Asia formed a High Skilled FDI support team to render extended services to the FDI clients and to facilitate error free FDI reporting to the regulators. The extended value added services are- placement of skilled and well educated and trained manpower at every branch, providing entire solution to the customer under single services point, strong financial distribution channel all over the country, maintaining close connections with different promoting bodies on behalf of valued FDI clients  
Md. Arfan Ali, Managing Director of Bank Asia Ltd inaugurated the seminar as a chief guest. Mrinal Kanti Sarker, DGM, Statistics Department, Bangladesh Bank, Senior Executives of Corporate Office, EVP & Head of International Division- Md. Zia Arfin, Head of Branches of Bank Asia and CEO/CFO of different FDI enterprises and Foreign Exchange In-charge of AD Branches of Bank Asia were present in the seminar and opening ceremony of FDI Help Desk.
Notable that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is an investment made by a company or entity based in one country, into a company or entity based in another country. Foreign investment plays a very vital role to move economic wheel of the country. Government of Bangladesh has taken some core strategy to attract FDI in Bangladesh.
