Bangladesh’s chance to play in ICC World Cup Cricket 2019 is confirmed. Top eight teams will play directly in the World Cup Cricket, which will be held in England. Hosts England and other seven top teams before September 30 will take part in the ICC World Cup Cricket without competing in qualifying round.
West Indies, which were once powerhouse of world cricket, could not play in the ICC Champions Trophy, which concluded recently in England and Wales.
West Indies have to play in the qualifying round if they want to compete in the final round of World Cup.
Sri Lanka are now playing against Zimbabwe. On the other hand, West Indies will play against England after they playing against India.
Sri Lanka lost to Zimbabwe in the first ODI and then they won over Zimbabwe in the second ODI.
If Sri Lanka and West Indies win rest of the matches they could not topple Bangladesh from its ODI ranking. So, Bangladesh will directly play in the ICC World Cup Cricket 2019.
President of Bangladesh Cricket Board Nazmul Hasan Papon said to a local website, ” Bangladesh will play directly in the World Cup. If any strange thing happened, then Bangladesh’s chance to play directly in World Cup will be hampered. Hoping that everything will go smoothly and Bangladesh will directly play in the ICC World Cup Cricket 2019.”
Bangladesh have taken the seventh position, according to the latest ICC ranking. Sri Lanka have taken the eighth spot, West Indies on ninth and Zimbabwe on tenth position.
On the other hand, the top six teams are South Africa, Australia, India, England, New Zealand and Pakistan.
