Bangladesh on Friday reported seven more deaths from Covid-19 while 709 found positive of coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours across the country, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a briefing.
With the new cases the death toll reached 206 and the total number of infected now stands at 13,134,” said Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General (Administration) of DGHS, in the press briefing in Dhaka.
Professor Sultana said, total 5,941 samples were tested in 35 labs across the country since Thursday.
She said that 191 patients of Covid-19 have recovered around the country in the last 24 hours. The total recovery number now stands at 2,101.
The DGHS received 1,42,169 phone calls in the last 24 hours.
It was the 62nd day on Friday since Bangladesh confirmed the first case of coronavirus infection on March 8.
