Staff Reporter: Health Minister Dr Zahid Maleque on Friday said three hundred and sixty-one Bangladeshis will be brought back on a special flight early tomorrow from the coronavirus-hit Chinese city Wuhan.
The minister said that a special flight of Biman Bangladesh will leave Dhaka for Wuhan around 3pm to China.
He said it during a press briefing at the VIP lounge of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The health minister said the flight supervised by the health ministry and physicians from Bangladesh Army is set to return to Dhaka early tomorrow.
He said that the returnees consist of 19 families including a total of 18 children, will be kept quarantined for 14 days due to safety reasons under the supervision of Bangladesh army at a makeshift hospital on the second floor of Ashkona Hajj Camp.
Dr. Zahid Maleque visited the camp after the briefing.
Officials said they are trying to set everything necessary to keep the returnees in the camp soon.
