A young Bangladeshi trader, doing business of groceries and other things for many years in Cape Town in South Africa, was suddenly shot dead in his groceries shop by local armed miscreants early hours on Tuesday last.
The deceased was identified as Ziaur Rahman,32,- a resident of Darinda Rosulpur village under Matlab Dakhshin Upazila.
Contacted, Matlab Dakhshin Thana OC AHMS Iqbal Hossain has told the New Nation correspondent that he is still in the dark about the matter.
According to family sources, Ziaur Rahman had been doing this business there along with other partners for the past 12 years at the capital city Cape town. One month ago, he came home and returned to South Africa. On Monday night at 10 pm Ziaur talked to me gladly- said his wife Tanjina Begum with sobs, faints and emotion- choked voice keeping her 18 -month- old daughter in her lap.
