Bangladeshi shot dead by BSF in Roumari border

One Bangladeshi national was shot dead and another bullet injured by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Dharmopur border under Roumari upazila in Kurigram district early hours on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Tulu Miah 60 son of late Asmat Ali of village Khewar char and the injured was Sefat Ali 35 son of Mozrat Ullah of village Chat Karaibari in the upazila.BGB strongly protested the matter to BGB following the incident.
Dantbhanga UP member Mizanur Rahman and BGB sources said a group of smuggler was smuggling cattle near the pillar no 1056 of Dharmopur border in Kawar char village under Dantbhanda union of the upazila.
 At that time BSF patrol of Assam province in India opened fired on them. Director of Jamalpur 35 BGB Lt.col Atikur Rahman admitted the incident.Officer-in-charge of Roumari police station Ruhani PPM told that the body was recovered at 12 pm and brought out in thana. Later the body however was sent to Kurigram Sadar Hospital morgue for post mortem examination.
