UNB, Naogaon :A Bangladeshi national was shot to death by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Hapania border area of Sapahar upazila early Thursday.The deceased was identified as Jahirul Islam,38, son of Abdul Latif Miah, a resident of Duar Pal Paschim Para area of Porsha upazila.Lt Col Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, commanding officer of BGB-14, said a group of cattle traders had gone to India to bring cattle. BSF members from Tekkapara area of India detained Jahirul while they were returning from India through main pillar no. 232. They shot Jahirul after torturing him, leaving him dead. Locals rescued the body from the border area in the morning.
