A Bangladeshi young man was shot to death by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Talukdulali border in Aditmari upazila on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sayed Hossain Jambu,36, son of Sohrab Hossain, a resident of the area.
BGB and locals sources said a team of BSF troops opened fire on a group of cattle traders, including Sayed, near the main pillar no. 917 in the bordering area when he along with others was returning home with cattle at 6:00 am, leaving Sayed dead on the spot. Other associates of Sayed, however, escaped from the spot with his body. A tense situation was prevailing along the border following the incident.
