Bangladeshi company M/s. Sterling Classicwears Limited will invest $15 million to establish a garments manufacturing industry in Ishwardi Export Processing Zone.
This local venture will produce 15 million pcs garments items. 5677 Bangladeshi nationals will get employment opportunity in this factory, said a press release.
An agreement to this effect has signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and M/s. Sterling Classicwears Limited in the city on Thursday at BEPZA Complex. Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Engg.) of BEPZA and Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Chairman of M/s. Sterling Classicwears Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, BSP, ndc, psc, Executive Chairman, Mr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Member (Finance) and Mr. Md. Ahsan Kabir, General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA were present at the signing ceremony.
