Bangladeshi peacekeeper killed in gunfire attack in Mali

UNB, Dhaka: A Bangladeshi peacekeeper was killed and another injured as miscreants opened fire at a jeep of Bangladeshi Transport Contingent under the UN peacekeeping mission in Mali’s capital Bamako on Monday. The deceases was identified soldier Shri Nilkanto Hajong, a soldier of Bangladesh Army A release from the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate said a jeep of Bangladesh Transport Contingent of the UN peacekeeping mission in Mali’s capital Bamako suddenly came under a gunfire attack by miscreants at 7pm (local time) on Monday. The attack left soldier Shri Nilkanto Hajong dead. Another soldier of the contingent, Sirajul Islam, was also injured in the attack. Sirajul Islam is receiving treatments at Level-2 Hospital in Bamako, added the release.
