Sports Reporter :After posting a thumping 87-run victory against the visiting Zimbabwe in the first ODI on Friday last, Bangladesh National Cricket team will take on Zimbabwe National Cricket team today in the second ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. The match starts at 12.30 pm BST (Bangladesh Standard Time). G TV, a private satellite channel will telecast the match live from the stadium.Before today’s encounter, Bangladesh faced Zimbabwe in 60 ODI matches. Of them, Bangladesh composed 32 victories while Zimbabwe registered 28 wins.Captain of Bangladesh team Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said, “We won the first match for the notable performance of two or three cricketers. The top order batsmen have to score in the second match if we want to win. Total eleven players have to perform well in the second ODI.”Captain of Zimbabwe team Elton Chigumbura said, “We shall try to utilize all the opportunities, which we shall get in the 2nd match. We have to improve our batting. We shall try to equalize the margin before we go to Dhaka. Shakib Al Hasan made the difference in the first ODI between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. He is a world class cricketer. Every team expect that there will be a cricketer like Shakib in their squad. Shakib is really an all-rounder.”The start has been advanced by an hour, to 12.30 pm, which would mean a little less effect of the overpowering dew, benefiting both sides.
