Sports Reporter :Bangladesh National Cricket team will face Zimbabwe National Cricket team today in the 1st Test match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The game starts at 9.30 am BST (Bangladesh Standard Time).Before taking part in this Test match, Bangladesh faced Zimbabwe in 11 Test matches. Of them, Zimbabwe registered win in six Test matches while Bangladesh won two Test matches and rest of the three occasions ended in draw.Captain of Bangladesh National Cricket team Mushfiqur Rahim said, “I shall try to good through my hand in the end of the year. Besides, our players are prepared to do well in our home ground. Before the Zimbabwe series we took part in a month-long training camp. We worked hard. I hope that we can do something well in the series. Our strength is now better as Shakib Al Hasan returned to the squad. Besides, Tamim Iqbal is now in a good form. Shamsur Rahman played well in the practice match. Shuvagoto Hom, Mahmudullah Riyad and Mominul Haque are in-form batsmen of our side. Our main strength is our top seven batsmen. Our spin attack and pace attack are up to the mark. We have also some all-rounders in our side. If we don’t do any mistake in the match, we can do well.”Mushfiqur Rahim said, “We have capacity to pick up 20 wickets in a Test match which is necessary to win the Test. It is good news for us that we have four good bowlers including Shakib Al Hasan. It is a plus point for us.” Captain of Zimbabwe National Cricket team Brendan Taylor said, “The spinners of Bangladesh team are the main threat for us. Apart from spin attack, Bangladesh have also good pacers. Bangladesh batsmen used to play good cricket in their home soil. Our all players are fit. They worked hard to keep fitness. The winter condition is always challenging. This series will be held in the winter. Test cricket is not an easy thing. We have to face challenge always.”
