The two-member Bangladesh Wrestling team left the city on Thursday for China to take part in the 11th Asian Wrestling Championship scheduled to be held in China from July 11 to July 13.
Billal Hossain of Munshiganj will take part in the 97 kg weight category. Earlier, Billal Hossain earned the bronze medal in the same weight category in the 10th Asian Wrestling Championship which held in Kazakhstan.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation and First Senior Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn went to China as the Team Leader of Bangladesh Wrestling team.
Leading wrestlers from 20 Asian countries, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan and hosts China, are expected to compete in the three-day meet.
