The Bangladesh Squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in Australia and New Zealand have been announced. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan announced the 15-member squad at a media conference at its Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur office on Sunday afternoon. Masrafe Bin Mortaza, who led the Tigers in the ODI series against Zimbabwe, has been chosen as the captain while Shakib Al Hasan was retained as his deputy. The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup is scheduled to be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 14 February to 29 March this year. Bangladesh will play in Pool A where the other teams are England, Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Scotland. Earlier on December 6, BCB announced the Preliminary 30 Man World Cup Squad. Those who have been excluded from the preliminary squad are: Shamsur Rahman, Muktar Ali, Marshall Ayub, Abul Hasan Raju, Mohammad Elias, Ziaur Rahman, Md Mithun, Liton Kumar Das, Shafiul Islam, Shuvagata Hom, Abdur Razzak, Naeem Islam, Imrul Kayes, Jubair Hossain and Mohammed Sahid.
