Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team left the city for Thailand on Monday to participate in the AFC Women’s Fultsal Championship in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. Walton Group is sponsoring Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team.
A total of 15 teams dividing into four groups will compete in the five-a-side football tournament. Bangladesh, Malaysia, Vietnam, Chinese Taipei are in Group-B.
Bangladesh will face Malaysia on April 2, will meet Vietnam on April 3 and will take on Chinese Taipei on April 6.
The players are: Rupna Chakma, Ruksana Begum, Sabina Khatun (Captain), Krishna Rani Sarkar, Sirat Jahan, Masura Parvin, Akhi Khatun, Sanjida Akhter, Sheuli Azim, Anai Mogini, Maria Manda, Monika Chakma, Shamsunnahar and Marzia.
The officials are: Md Enamul Hoque (Head of Delegation), Amirul Islam (Team Manager), Paul Thomas Smalley (Technical & Strategic Director), Golam Rabbani Choton (Head Coach), Mahmuda Akter (Assistant Coach), Ahsan Ahmed (Media Manager).
