Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team leaves for Thailand today

Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team will leave the city today for Thailand to take part in the AFC Women’s Fultsal Championship in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. Walton Group is the sponsor of Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team.
A total of 15 teams splitting into four groups will compete in the five-a-side football tournament. Bangladesh, Malaysia, Vietnam, Chinese Taipei are in Group-B.
Bangladesh will take on Malaysia on April 2, will face Vietnam on April 3 and will meet Chinese Taipei on April 6.
Regarding the participation in the Futsal tournament, a press conference was held at the conference room in BFF House on Sunday. Chairperson of the Women’s Football Committee of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Mahfuza Akter Kiron, General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Head Coach of Bangladesh National Women’s Football team Golam Rabbani Choton, Senior Operative Director (Head of Games & Sports Department) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, Chairman of the Media Committee of BFF Amirul Islam Babu, Technical & Strategic Director of BFF Paul Thomas Smalley, Head of Delegation Md Enamul Hoque, Captain of Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team Sabina Khatun were present at the conference.
Kiron said, ” Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team are going to take part in a futsal meet for the first time. Only Sabina Khatun played in futsal tournament in Maldives. I hope that our girls will give their cent percent effort. I expect that they will bring a good result.”
Eanamul Hoque said, ” I hope our girls will bring good result. They will go forward.”
Dawn said, “I hope our team will perform well. They will increase the good will of our country.”
Choton said, ” My girls have been practicing since April 7. We have a good number of talent players. The girls improve their skill, stamina to play in the power base football tournament. I hope my girls will earn a good result.”
Sabina Khatun said, ” We are going to play in a futsal tournament for the first time. It will be a new experience for us. We shall try to give our best.”
