Bangladesh Women’s Chess team beat Jordan Women’s Chess team by 3-1 points in their 7th round games of the Women’s Section of the 42nd World Chess Olympiad held at Baku in Azerbaijan on Friday.
In Open Section, Bangladesh lost to stronger Serbia by 1-3 points.
Bangladesh Women’s Chess team earned 8 match points and 16 games points while Bangladesh Chess team earned 7 match points and 16 games points in Open Section after 7th round games.
In Women’s Section, Sharmin Sultana Shirin (Rating-2002) beat WFM Boshra Alshaeby (Rating-1983), WFM Nazrana Khan Eva (1965) beat WIM Fuad Kamal Jamaliah (Rating-2064) , WIM Rani Hamid (Rating-1993) beat Razan Alshaeby (Rating-1896) and WIM Shamima Akter Liza (Rating-2129) lost to WFM Alattar Ghayda (Rating-1964).
In Open Section, GM Enamul Hossain Razib (Rating-2431) won over GM Ivanisevic Ivan (Rating-2650), GM Ziaur Rahman (Rating-2512) lost to GM Markus Robert (Rating-2662), IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin (Rating-2413) lost to GM Indjic Aleksandar (Rating-2548) and GM Niaz Murshed (Rating-2439) lost to GM Markovic Miroslav (Rating-2459).
