Vice-President of the Bangladesh Football Federation and Chairman of the National Team Management Committee Kazi Nabil Ahmed said, “Bangladesh will play regular matches in FIFA window.”
The BFF could not continue their regular activities due to coronavirus outbreak. Bangladesh will return to the field after playing two FIFA international friendly matches against Nepal on November 13 and November 17 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
The meeting of the National Team Management Committee of BFF was held at the BFF House on Tuesday. After the meeting, Nabil Ahmed said, ” Bangladesh’s next FIFA window is in March. We shall get seven days in March. After that we shall get 15 days in June. We shall try to use all the windows. We discuss with a country to play FIFA international friendly matches against them.”
Nabil said, “Bangladesh are scheduled to play against Qatar in the away match of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023 in December. If we get permission from FIFA, we shall play against Qatar after the Nepal matches. Besides, we shall play two matches against two teams, which play in the Qatar Football League.”
He also said, ” Football is game of team. The booters used to take six to eight weeks to get their full fitness. Our opponents Nepal and we are at the same stage. We want to watch everything of our team. We want to watch not only Bangladesh’s win or loss, we want to watch total ability of our team.”
