Bangladesh National Under-15 Women’s Football team became unbeaten champions in the Jockey Club Girls International Youth Invitational Football Tournament crushing hosts Hong Kong National Under-15 Women’s Football team by six goals to nil in the last match at Sui Sai Wan Sports Ground in Hong Kong on Sunday.
Bangladesh led the first half 3-0.
Tohura Khatun of Bangladesh put her team ahead in the 4th minute of the play.
Sajeda Khatun of Bangladesh doubled the margin in the 39th minute of the match.
After one minute, Tahura Khatun made it 3-0.
Shamsunnahar increased the tally into 4-0 in the 67th minute of the clash.
After five minutes, Anuching Mogini made it 5-0.
Tohura Khatun fulfilled her hat-trick in the 73rd minute of the match.
Earlier, Bangladesh thrashed Malaysia by 10-1 goals in their first match at the same venue on March 30.
Bangladesh smashed Iran by 8-1 goals in their second match at the same venue on March 31.
By virtue of yesterday’s victory, Bangladesh emerged as the unbeaten champions of the meet. Bangladesh collected maximum nine points from three matches.
After the much-awaited victory, Head Coach Golam Rabbani Choton said, ” I am very pleased with our over all performance in the tournament. We dedicate this Championship trophy for all martyrs of Liberation War of Bangladesh.”
Team Manager Amirul Islam Babu said, “Our team performed brilliantly in this tournament. We will try to continue to keep this performance in future. Our girls played fantastic due to their long time hard practice, good fitness & experience.”
Captain of Bangladesh National Under-15 Women’s Football team Maria Manda said, “I am very happy as we have clinched the championship trophy of this tournament for the first time.”
Tohura Khatun said, “I am very happy for achieving the championship trophy and became the highest scorer in this tournament and also scored 3 goals in today’s final match. We all gave our full effort in the match against Hong Kong & clinched the championship title for my Bangladesh. Thanks to the Almighty Allah.”
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh National Under-15 Football team clinched the title of the SAFF Under-15 Women’s Championship in December last.
