Bangladesh U23 football team reaches Palestine

Bangladesh U23 team on Monday reached Bethlehem, Palestinian safely to play the AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers 2018.
Leaving Qatar capital Doha on Sunday, the team landed in Jordanian capital Amman from where the team took a long way journey by bus to reach Bethlehem passing through the Allenby checkpoint of Israel.
The team and staff staying at Al Jacir Palace and was due to join their first training session in Palestine on the day.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Ibrahim who left Dhaka on Sunday to replace injured Jewel Rana, joined the team in Amman, Jordan Monday.
An unfortunate groin injury forced Jewel return back home from Qata. Jewel suffered injury during the friendly match against Quarter on July 13.
In their four-team Group-E battles of the Asian football event, Bangladesh will face Jordan, Tajikistan and host Palestine on July 19, 21 and 23 respectively.
A total of 40 nations, split into 10 groups, will play in qualifying rounds. Each group champions and five best runners-up teams will qualify for the 15-team final stage of the meet which is scheduled to be held in China in January, 2018.
