Bangladesh Under-23 football team will play a practice match against Vietnam Under-23 football team at Munhak Football Field Auxiliary Pitch, South Korea on Wednesday.
The match will begin at 6:00pm (Bangladesh Time).
Bangladesh Under-23 team reached Korea on Monday and managed to have a practice session of two hours at a local stadium.
Bangladesh football team left for Korea on Sunday night to participate in the 17th Asian Games to be held in Inche from September 19 to October 4
Although the Asian Games will ceremonially open on Sept 19, the football competition will start on September 14.
Bangladesh team will start their Asian Games football campaign taking on their South Asian rival Afghanistan on Sept 15.
The team will play Uzbekistan on Sept 18 and Hong Kong on Sept 22.
The Bangladesh contingent in the Asian Games comprises of 126 athletes who will compete in 13 disciplines of sports — archery, football, cricket, hockey, kabaddi, fencing, golf, gymnastics, karate, shooting, taekwondo, beach volleyball and wushu–in the biggest sports carnival of Asia.
In the last Asian Games in Guangzhou, China in 2010, Bangladesh won gold medal in men’s cricket, silver medal in women’s cricket and bronze medal in women’s kabaddi.
Vice President of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Sheikh Bashir Ahmed is the chef-de-mission of Bangladesh contingent while BOA Deputy Secretary General Badal Roy is the deputy chef-de-mission of the contingent.
