Bangladesh U-19 team leaves for SA today

Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team will leave Dhaka early morning on Sunday for Durban to play a seven-match Youth ODI series against South Africa Under-19 cricket team, scheduled to begin on July 5.
The young Tigers will begin their campaign with a practice match at the Chatsworth Cricket Oval in Durban on July 2, before the first two matches of the series at Kingsmead on July 5 and 7.
The next three matches will be held at City Oval, Pietermaritzburg on July 10, 12 and 14.
Bangladesh will heed back to Durban again to play the last two matches of the series at Chatsworth Cricket Oval on July 17 and at Kingsmead on July 19, before returning home on July 21.
All matches will begin at 1:00pm Bangladesh time.
On the eve of their South Africa tour, Bangladesh youth side captain Mehedi Hasan Miraz said, “This tour will help my team prepare well for the upcoming Under-19 World Cup at home.”
The captain made the remark at a press conference at Sher-e-Bangla Nation Cricket Stadium in the city on Saturday.
“It will be very good for our World Cup (U-19) preparation,” the captain continued adding, “Since the start of June we have been practicing very hard for this South Africa tour.”
“We understand the challenges of conditions and weather there and we have been given the best facilities to prepare properly. We have trained in bouncy pitches in BKSP… so that we get used to the bounce there,” the captain concluded.
This is a bilateral series and earlier, in April this year, Bangladesh beat South Africa 6-1 at home.
