Bangladesh U-19 beat South Africa U-19 in last ODI by 22 runs

Bangladesh Under-19 have handed South Africa Under-19 a 5-2 drubbing in the seven-match ODI series. The young Tigers beat them in the last match at Durban by 22 runs on Sunday. They had sealed the series with the fourth victory on Friday. On Sunday, the young Tigers set a target of 267 runs after they had chosen to bat on winning the toss. Bangladesh started well with 31 runs by opener Pinak Ghosh, who had smashed a match-winning 150 in the previous match, and 45 by Saif Hasan. One-down Joyraz Sheik cracked 90 with six boundaries and two over-boundaries off 106 balls. Middle-order batsman Nazmul Hossain Shanto’s unbeaten 17 off nine pushed Bangladesh’s score to 266. South Africa were in trouble by losing opener Matthew Britzke in the last ball of the opening over and Rivaldo Moonsamy in the eighth over to be 22 for 2. Opener Liam Smith made 89 and Dayyaan Galiem 65, but failed to take the team over the line. South Africa were all out for 244 with four balls in hand.
