Bangladesh Carrom team will take part in the 4th World Cup Carrom Tournament scheduled to be held on September 13-17 in Male, the capital city of the Maldives.
An eight-member Bangladesh – four males and four females-will represent Bangladesh in the world event.
Ahead of the event, a total of 18 players, including 10 male and 8 female ones, are taking training at the Bangladesh Carrom Federation (BCF) at Maulana Bhasani Stadium.
They are waiting for final selection in the 2nd week of September.
Bangladesh men’s carrom team ranked third in the last World Carrom Championship held in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2012.
Apart from Bangladesh, 15 other nations, including host the Maldives, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, the UK and the USA-confirmed their participation in the event.
