Bangladesh will take part in the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Art Games scheduled to be held from September 17-27 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, said a Bangladesh Olympic Association press release.
Bangladesh will compete in six disciplines – chess, swimming, weightlifting, wrestling, belt wrestling, taekwondo – in the competition.
The 22-member Bangladesh contingent included eighteen players, trainers cum managers, one chef-de mission, one doctor, one team co-coordinator and one administrative officer. The members of the contingent will leave for Turkmenistan from September 13-22 in phases.

Chakma will carry the national flag in the games’ opening march-past while 12th SA Games silver
winner and 4th Islamic Solidarity Games bronze winner wrestler Shirin Sultana will carry the national flag in the closing ceremony on September 27.
