Bangladesh to play World Cup Qualifiers in Qatar

Bangladesh will play their rest of the matches of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023 at Doha in Qatar. The matches are scheduled to be held from May 31 to June 15.
Bangladesh, Qatar, Oman, India, Afghanistan have been billed in Group-E. Bangladesh’s home matches were scheduled to be held in Bangladesh. But FIFA and AFC cancelled those matches in Bangladesh due to coronavirus situation of the country. So, Jamal Bhuiyan Co. have to play their home matches at Doha in Qatar. Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan on June 3, face India on June 7 and meet Oman on June 15.
Bangladesh earned just one point playing five matches. They made a 1-1 draw against India in their away match at Kolkata, the former capital city of India. Qatar led the points table grabbing 16 points from six matches, while Oman took the second position in the points table collecting 12 points from five matches. Afghanistan took the third spot in the points table bagging four points from five matches. India took the fourth position in the points table earning three points from as many matches.
