UNB, Dhaka :Bangladesh displayed an immature batting against ICC associated nation United Arab Emirates (UAE) as they threw a moderate target of 134 in the 3rd match of the 13th Asia Cup at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Friday. Sent in to bat first, hosts Bangladesh scored 133 for 8 in 20 overs with opener Mohammad Mithun’s topscoring 47off 41 balls, including four boundaries and two sixes.Mithun left the crease at 81/3 in 11.4 overs as he was run out falling three runs short of half century. Rohan Mustafa delivered to Mithun who tossed up the ball edging towards the keeper and set off aimlessly for a quick single and taking that chance, keeper Swapnil Patil whipped off the bails.Mahmudullah hit unbeaten 36 off 27 balls, including one boundary and two sixes, in his number-six position.Bangladesh started their batting well as the opening pair between Mithun and Soumya Sarkar contributed 46 runs in 5.2 overs.Soumya hit 21 off 14 balls including two boundaries and one six, before being caught by skipper Amjad Javed off Mohammad Shahzad delivery.World famed all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was another double figure scorer for Bangladesh with run-a-ball 13 that include one boundary.Bangladesh lost three middle-order batsmen — Shakib, Nurul Hasan and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza — in one over for two runs, from 112/5 in 17.2 to 114/7 in 18.2 overs. Mohammad Naveed and Amjad Javed bagged two wickets for 12 and 34 runs delivering four overs each. Rohan Mustafa and Mohammad Shahzad took one wicket apiece for 30 and 38 runs.
