Bangladesh under-16 women’s team will have to compete strong opponents in the eight-team final round of AFC Under-16 Championship scheduled to be held on September 9-23 in Thailand next year.
Among the eight countries, four countries have earned the ticket of direct qualification in the final round. The four teams are North Korea, China, Japan and host Thailand.
On the other hand, Bangladesh, Australia and South Korea joined the final round of the competition after emerging their respective group champions.
Laos is the only team, which despite finished second position in their group, have qualified for the final round.
Earlier, the girls in red and green got the ticket of final round as group C champions beating Chinese Taipei by 4-0 goals.
