Bangladesh will participate in the 71st World Long Distance Swimming Championship to be held on September 7 in Murshidabad, Paschim Banga, India.
Men’s competition will be held in two categories –81 kilometers and 19 kilometers-while women will compete in only 19 kilometers race.
To form a team for the meet, Bangladesh Swimming Federation has arranged an open trail on Thursday (July 24) at 10 am at the Syed Nazrul Islam National Swimming Complex in Mirpur.
Interested swimmers have been asked to present at the trail venue on 9 am on the day (Thursday).
Maximum two swimmers from each team will be entitled to compete in the trail.
