Bangladesh will take on Ireland in their third match of the Walton Tri-Nation Cricket Tournament at Dublin in Ireland today. The match begins at 3.45 pm (Bangladesh Time).
Before today’s clash, Bangladesh and Ireland faced each other eight times. Of them, Bangladesh recorded five victories, while Ireland won on the seven occasions. One match was washed out by rain.
Besides, in this Tri-Nation Cricket Tournament, the first match between Bangladesh and Ireland was abandoned due to rain on May 12. Thus Bangladesh and Ireland got two points each.
New Zealand, the other team of the Tri-Nation Cricket Tournament, defeated Ireland by 51 runs on May 14.
Later, New Zealand beat Bangladesh by four wickets on May 17.
So, Bangladesh have to win against Ireland in Friday’s match if they want to sustain in the championship race of the Tri-Nation Cricket Tournament.
On the other hand, it will be do-or-die match for Ireland also. Ireland have no alternative but to win if they want to survive in the championship battle.
