Bangladesh suffer 5-wicket defeat to Afghanistan in 3rd Youth ODI

Bowlers produced a fierce bowling spells as visiting Afghanistan U-19 team recorded an emphatic five-wicket victory over Bangladesh U-19 team in the third youth ODI held on Monday at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Chasing on a paltry winning target of 76 runs set by Bangladesh, Afghanistan rode on Darwaish Abdul Rasool’s unbeaten 35 runs, comfortably reached home making 81 in 17.2 overs for the loss of five wickets.
Nayeem Hasan was the most successful bowler as he captured two Afghan wickets conceding 21 runs.
Earlier, opted to bat first, Bangladesh faced serious batting jolt and eventually all out for a paltry total of 75 runs with only two batsmen Mahudil Islam (25) and skipper Saif Hassan (22) able to reach the double
digits.
Naveen Ul Haq Murad, who was named the player of the match for his impressive bowling performance, was the pick of Afghanistan bowler as he grabbed three wickets giving away 24 runs.
He was well supported by Tariq Stanikzai who bagged two wickets conceding 10 runs.
The remaining two youth ODIs will be held on October 4 and 6 at the same venue.
