Bangladesh suffer 0-3 defeat to Nepal in Women’s Football

Bangladesh Women’s Football team made a frustrating start in the 12th South Asian Games after suffering 0-3 goals defeat to Nepal in the inaugural match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex in Shillong, India on Friday.
Bangladesh made a good start against Nepal from the very beginning, but some silly mistakes by goalkeeper Sabina Akter destroyed their rhythm. Custodian Sabina Akhter was responsible for conceding all the three goals.
Bangladesh conceded two quick goals within in 14 minutes of the first half due to poor show by Sabina.
Bangladesh women’s team conceded the 3rd goal due to misunderstanding between goal keeper Sabina and senior player Surovi Akter Ety.
Striker Sabina Khatun and Krishna Rani of Bangladesh also missed some good chances during the match. Nepal played defensive football, especially in the second half.
After the match, Nepalese coach said they earned three gifted points from Bangladesh as Bangladesh goalkeeper and defenders make it easy for them to win the match, according to a message received here from BFF.
