The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Thursday the Bangladesh squad for the first and second ODIs against Afghanistan.
The players, who have been selected, are: Masrafe Bin Mortaza (Captain), Shakib Al Hasan (Vice-Captain), Tamim Iqbal Khan, Soumya Sarker,Imrul Kayes, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shabbir Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain Saikot, Mahmudullah Riyad, Nasir Hossain, Taijul Islam, Shafiul Islam and Rubel Hossain.
Bangladesh Cricket team will take on Afghanistan in the first ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on September 25, will face Afghanistan in the second ODI at the same venue on September 28 and will meet Afghanistan in the third ODI at the same venue on October 1.
All the matches will be Day/Night Affairs. The matches start at 2.30 pm BST (Bangladesh Standard Time).
On their previous two ODI occasions, Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by 105 runs in the World Cup 2015, but lost to Afghanistan by 32 runs in their first match in Asia Cup in 2014.
