Bangladesh squad for FIFA WC Qualifiers against Jordan announced

Bangladesh Football Federation on Tuesday announced a 22-member preliminary squad of Bangladesh National Football team for their last Group A match of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Jordan in Amman on March 24.
Prior to the match against Jordan, Bangladesh National Football team will play a FIFA International Friendly against the UAE in Abu Dhabi on March 18.
Bangladesh have already been eliminated from the World Cup race as they finished bottom in the five-team Group A with only one point from six matches after playing one-all draw with Tajikistan at home.
Bangladesh conceded 1-3 defeat to Kyrgyzstan and played 1-1 draw with Tajikistan in home matches while suffered 0-5 defeat to Australia in away match, conceded 0-4 defeat against Jordan in home match, 0-2 defeat against Kyrgyzstan and 0-5 defeat against Tajikistan in away matches and suffered 0-4 defeat against Australia at home.
Selected booters have been asked to report to Team Manager Satyajit Das Rupu on Saturday (Feb 27) at 4:30pm at the BFF Bhaban with their kits.
Member of Bangladesh squad: Md Rasel Mahmud, Mohammad Mazharul Islam, Ashraful Islam Rana (Goal-Keeper); Md Rayhan Hasan, Topu Barman, Md Nasirul Islam Nasir, Md Rezaul Karim, Kasto Kumer Bosh, Md Waly Faisal, Md Shakil Ahmed (Defender); Md Emon Mahmud, Md Monaem Khan Raju, Jamal Bhuiyan, Md Shahedul Alam Shahed, Fazly Rabbi, Mohammad Atiqur Rahman Fahad, Masuk Miah Zoni (Mid-fielder); Rubel Miya, Mohammad Nabib Newaj Zibon, Mohammed Shakawat Hossain Rony, Md Jewel Rana and Md Aminur Rahman Sojib (Forward).
Team officials of Bangladesh team are: Team Leader – Badal Roy, Team Manager- Satyajit Das Rupu, Head Coach- Gonzalo Sanchez Moreno, Assistant Coach- Syed Golam Zillani and Goal-keeping coach -Atiqur Rahman Atiq. The BFF excluded seven national booters-captain Mamunul Islam Mamun, M Zahid Hossain, Sohel Rana, Shahidul Alam Sohel, Yeamin Ahmed Chowdhury Munna, Yeasin Khan and Atiqur Rahman Meshu – from the squad for breaching discipline in and outside the ground.
Earlier on Monday, the National Team Committee of BFF in a meeting decided to serve show-cause notices on the seven national players following the recommendations of the BFF “Fact Finding Committee” which was formed to investigate the failure of Bangladesh Football team in the SAFF Championships and Bangabandhu Gold Cup Football.
Seven national players will be asked to appear in person before a three-member subcommittee consisting of BFF Vice Presidents Tabit Awal, Badal Roy and Anwarul Haque Helal at the BFF office in a specific time to defend themselves.
If the players are found guilty after hearing, they will not be considered for the national team and will face punitive action.
